We have a litter problem in Ecuador that mostly stems from a lack of education. Jason and I took a hike last week with the intent to pick up some litter and provide an example for the local community. Here is a picture of me in action:
I love to hike in the mountains around Casa Izabella and always pick up trash. This even provides a good example for our staff at Casa Izabella. You can see our Chef Rosita watching us from the entrance of Casa Izabella:
On sunny days you need to protect yourself by covering exposed skin or wearing lotion. Here is a picture of Jason with a perfect outfit for sunny-day hiking in the Andes Mountains. I had to post this picture because Rosita said that Jason looks like he is ready for an African Safari. Big hats are GREAT for Ecuador.
That’s all for today. Be well and I hope to see you all soon.
Best wishes,
Martha
